Snowfall begins in Istanbul

Snowfall was observed in the higher parts of Silivri and Çatalca.

Following the warnings issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, snowfall began in the higher parts of the two districts in the evening hours.

In the Kadıköy neighborhood of Silivri, roads were covered in white. In an announcement made by the Silivri Municipality, it was stated that a total of 25 vehicles and 150 personnel would be on duty due to the snowfall.

The snowfall, which began to take effect in Istanbul's Fatih, Kağıthane, and Eyüpsultan districts, covered streets and vehicles in white.

Following the warnings from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the snowfall began to show its effect in Istanbul. The snowfall that started in Fatih, Kağıthane, and Eyüpsultan covered roads and the tops of vehicles in white. Some vehicles experienced difficulty moving.
