Following the bus accident on the highway in the Akhisar district of Manisa, which resulted in 11 deaths and 27 injuries, a written statement was issued by My World Turizm.
The company stated that the organization involving the tour bus that was in the accident did not belong to them, noting that they only provided transportation services with the vehicle. The statement indicated that the bus was operating as a rental under Transport Taşımacılık, which it described as another department of the company.
In the accident that occurred on October 11, 2026, at approximately 11:11, a tow truck struck the tour bus, which was reported to be reversing on the highway. The judicial investigation launched following the accident is ongoing.
The Board of Directors of My World Turizm noted in its statement that they were saddened by the loss of life and that they would continue to provide the necessary support in cooperation with the authorized institutions.
"In order to inform the public correctly, we would like to state that the tour organization in question does not belong to our firm. The vehicle operates as a rental under our other department, Transport Taşımacılık. Only transportation services were provided for the relevant organization."
The company also claimed that the vehicle and the driver had been resting for the 5 days prior to the accident, suggesting that the accident may have been caused by individual error.
