Statement from Minister of Transport Uraloğlu on the Tourist Eastern Express
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that there is intense interest in tourist train services, saying, "The Tourist Eastern Express has made a total of 84 trips, 42 in the Ankara-Kars direction and 42 in the Kars-Ankara direction. As of the end of the period, 11 thousand 611 passengers traveled on these trips. The Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Tourist Train and the Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Tourist Train will begin operations."
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that there is high demand for tourist train services. Uraloğlu said, "The Tourist Eastern Express has made a total of 84 trips, 42 in the Ankara-Kars direction and 42 in the Kars-Ankara direction. THE REGION HAS DEVELOPED WITH TRAIN SERVICES
Pointing out that the Tourist Eastern Express, which was put into operation for tourism purposes, stops for approximately three hours each in Erzincan, Erzurum, İliç, Divriği, and Sivas, Uraloğlu noted that while passengers discover Anatolia, they also bring vitality to the region's economic, social, and cultural life, adding that this also contributes to activating the region's potential.
"TWO NEW ROUTES ARE COMING"
Stating that two more routes will be added to Anatolia, Uraloğlu said, "We are offering two brand new routes to our travel-loving citizens. The Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Tourist Train will begin operations between Ankara and Diyarbakır, and the Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Tourist Train will begin operations between Ankara and Tatvan. The tourist trains will consist of 9 sleeping cars providing home-comfort travel and a dining car."

Stating that the trains will offer the opportunity to see natural, historical, and cultural values during stops along the route, Uraloğlu noted the following:
"The Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Tourist Train will depart from the capital on Friday, April 19 at 15.55, and from Diyarbakır on Sunday, April 21 at 12.00. On the Ankara-Diyarbakır trip, the train will stop for 3 hours in Malatya for tourism purposes, and on the Diyarbakır-Ankara trip, it will stop for 4 hours in Yolçatı and 3 hours in Kayseri. The Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Tourist Train will depart from Ankara on Wednesday, April 17 at 15.55, and from Tatvan on Friday, April 19 at 06.35. On the Ankara-Tatvan trip, there will be a 4-hour stop in Elazığ, and on the Tatvan-Ankara trip, there will be a 3-hour stop in Palu, a 4-hour stop in Elazığ, and a 3-hour stop in Kayseri for tourism purposes. Our trains will provide reciprocal service on certain days until June and will stop at specific centers. Ticket sales for these trains began this week."
