Striking claim from pro-government journalist targeting lieutenants: 'High-level commanders...'
Journalist Cem Küçük, known for his proximity to the government, claimed that a report from the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) regarding the lieutenants' sword oath has been submitted to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and that high-level commanders will soon be dismissed.
The incident where lieutenants graduating from the Military Academy took a sword oath while chanting "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" continues to remain on the agenda.
Following the footage, some circles close to the government implied that the young lieutenants were 'coup plotters'.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeted the lieutenants, stating, "Who are you drawing these swords against? Now, regarding these individuals, a few reckless ones, they will be purged. It is not possible for them to remain within our army."
"HIGH-LEVEL COMMANDERS WILL BE DISMISSED"
Pro-government journalist Cem Küçük, who implied the lieutenants were coup plotters, made a striking claim on the Medya Kritik program broadcast on TGRT Haber.
"300 LIEUTENANTS ARE INVOLVED IN THIS IN A PLANNED MANNER"
Stating that a report from MİT has been sent to Erdoğan, Küçük claimed that high-level commanders would soon be dismissed.
The statements used by Küçük are as follows:
"A report from MİT has gone to Erdoğan. It has been determined that some commanders at the school are conducting activities against the government. About 300 lieutenants are involved in this in a planned manner. 650 lieutenants are not participating in this."
