Super Cup post from Norm Ender: "Let it be noted in history as the anthem that annoyed the kings"
Norm Ender's 100th-anniversary anthem also became a point of crisis during the Super Cup by the Saudis. Famous rapper Norm Ender, who composed the anthem titled 'Parla' specifically for the Republic's 100th anniversary, made a statement regarding the matter.
An 'Atatürk and National Anthem' crisis occurred during the Super Cup match scheduled to be played between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe on Friday.
The 2023 Turkcell Super Cup final match, which was planned to be played between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, was postponed due to the refusal to allow Atatürk banners and t-shirts.
The teams' request to take the field before the match wearing Atatürk t-shirts and to enter the pitch before the ceremony with banners featuring Atatürk's quote "Peace at home, peace in the world" was not accepted by the Saudis. Upon this, the teams refused to play, and the match was postponed.
One of the names who left a mark on the night was Norm Ender, who has been on the agenda with his 100th-anniversary anthem.
Sharing a photo on his X account, Norm Ender wrote the following regarding the crisis:
"The fact that they didn't want 'Parla' along with the Atatürk banners became an additional badge of honor for me. Let it be noted in history as the anthem that annoyed the kings. As we enter the new year, it is our duty to shout PARLAAA with even greater enthusiasm! I wish everyone a happy new year."
