Teams from the Adana Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch stopped a motorcycle driven by a person named Muhammed K. (26) on suspicion during a street operation targeting drug trafficking in the Yeşilbağlar neighborhood of Yüreğir district. 972 narcotic pills hidden inside a loaf of bread in a bag carried by the suspect were seized.

Following this development, the teams conducted a search of the suspect's home with a warrant. During the search of the house, 703 more narcotic pills were found hidden in the pillow section of the bed. A total of 1,675 narcotic pills were seized as part of the operation.

"I THOUGHT THEY WERE PAINKILLERS"

It was alleged that Muhammed K., who was taken into custody, said in his statement, "The pills do not belong to me; I thought the pills were painkillers, I did not know they were narcotics." The suspect, whose procedures at the police station were completed, was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
