Suspect who attempted to burn Turkish flag brought to courthouse
31-year-old A.A., who used a lighter to set fire to a Turkish flag in front of a business in Menteşe, has been referred to the courthouse following police processing.
In the Menteşe district of Muğla, 31-year-old A.A., who attempted to set fire to a Turkish flag hanging in front of a business with a lighter, was referred to the Muğla Courthouse following detention procedures.
The incident occurred in front of a business located near the historic Kurşunlu Mosque in the center of Menteşe. It was observed that the woman, who was walking on the sidewalk in the morning hours, approached the Turkish flag hanging on the wall of the business and attempted to burn it with a lighter she took out of her bag.
Following an examination of security camera footage, police teams launched an operation to apprehend the suspect. A.A., whose identity was determined, was caught and taken into custody on the same day.

A.A., whose processing was completed at the Muğla Police Department's Security Branch, was subsequently referred to the courthouse. The judicial process regarding the suspect is expected to be clarified following the prosecutor's office proceedings.
