Suspect who burned Turkish flag in Muğla taken into custody
Police, who examined security camera footage regarding the burning of a Turkish flag in front of a store in Menteşe, have taken A.A. into custody.
A woman identified as A.A. has been taken into custody in connection with the setting fire to a Turkish flag hanging in front of a store in the Menteşe district of Muğla.
The incident occurred last night at Kurşunlu Square. According to DHA, security camera footage showed a woman checking her surroundings before setting the Turkish flag in front of the store on fire with a lighter and then leaving the area.
Store owners who arrived in the morning to open their business noticed the flag had been burned and notified the police. Upon the report, teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Security Branch were dispatched to the area.
The teams, who examined security camera footage from nearby businesses, identified the suspect as A.A. It was reported that the processing of A.A., who was taken into custody, is ongoing at the police station.
