Suspect who killed his ex-wife's husband in Kocaeli shot himself with the same weapon

One person lost their life in an armed attack that took place in the İzmit district of Kocaeli, and the suspect alleged to have carried out the attack was critically injured.

The incident occurred around 12:00 PM in a 3-story apartment building on Hacı Osman Street in the Yenişehir neighborhood. According to the information obtained, R.A. opened fire with a weapon on M.K., who was married to his ex-wife.

M.K., who was critically injured, collapsed in front of the apartment building. R.A. then went up into the building and shot himself with the same weapon.

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. Despite the intervention of the medical teams, M.K. lost his life. R.A., who was critically injured, was removed from inside the building and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

It was reported that the police teams' investigation at the scene is ongoing.
