Tension between passenger and police on THY flight: 'I have 10 factories, don't talk nonsense'

Turkish Airlines' flight from Istanbul to London saw a passenger's behavior attract significant attention on social media.

The plane had begun boarding at Istanbul Airport for its departure to the British capital, London.

According to the report in Cumhuriyet, one of the passengers who boarded the plane reacted to the change in seat rows caused by a change in the aircraft type.

The passenger caused a major disturbance inside the plane by hurling insults at the cabin crew.

PASSENGER DID NOT CALM DOWN

Police teams attempting to bring the situation under control failed to calm the passenger down. The passenger responded to the police teams by saying, "You cannot hold me. I have 10 factories. Don't talk nonsense." As a result of this tension, the passenger was removed from the plane, and the flight proceeded to London.

ADDED TO THE BLACKLIST

Turkish Airlines Press Consultant Yahya Üstün stated that the passenger in question had been blacklisted, using the following words:

''The passenger, who exhibited aggressive behavior and used verbal insults against our cabin crew and passengers on the TK1983 Istanbul - London flight dated 14.09.2024, was removed from the aircraft accompanied by police. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the passenger, identified as B.G., who caused material damage to our aircraft, and they have been added to the unruly passenger list (blacklist).'''
