Testimony of Gök, who assaulted Supreme Court Prosecutor İşçimen, revealed: He requested judicial control

The investigation conducted by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the attack on İşçimen, who had an argument with two suspects at the exit of a parking lot in Feneryolu Neighborhood, is ongoing.

Suspect Erol Gök, who was ordered to be arrested after surrendering to the prosecutor's office yesterday as part of the investigation, stated during his interrogation at the criminal judgeship of peace that he was remorseful.

'MY DAUGHTER NEEDS ME'

Suspect Gök stated the following in his testimony:

"I apologize to our prosecutor and everyone. I could not come because my lawyer was on judicial recess; I came myself today. My daughter's school is about to start, she needs me. Everything happened in an instant; this situation occurred there due to my children's reflexes and my own paternal instincts. I request to be released, or if your judgeship is of the opposite opinion, that judicial control provisions be applied."

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the work carried out by the Istanbul Police Department teams regarding the attack on Supreme Court Prosecutor Necip Cem İşçimen at the exit of a parking lot in Feneryolu Neighborhood, it was determined from the vehicle's license plate information that the suspects were Erol Gök and T.T.İ.

T.T.İ., who was determined to have insulted İşçimen, was apprehended and released by the judicial authorities to whom he was referred under judicial control conditions.

Suspect T.T.İ. was arrested by the duty criminal judgeship of peace after being brought before it again in light of new evidence collected.

Fugitive suspect Erol Gök, who was determined to have assaulted İşçimen following the argument, went to the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, where the investigation is being conducted, and surrendered yesterday, and was sent to prison after being arrested by the duty criminal judgeship of peace.
