The code for drugs: 'Is there Kübra? Is there Ice?'

The Adana Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch teams had arrested 266 people during the 'Narkoçelik-21' operation carried out on June 3. Within this framework, efforts to apprehend Nuri Can K. (25), the leader of a drug gang, continued.

'CAUGHT IN TRAFFIC'

Narcotics police tracked Nuri Can K. while he was driving in traffic. Narcotics officers intercepted and apprehended the suspect in the vehicle he was driving on Bakımyurdu Street in the Seyhan district.

THE CODE FOR DRUGS: 'IS THERE KÜBRA? IS THERE ICE?'

It was determined that the network, which included 8 people, one of whom was a woman, in the Yeşilyuva Neighborhood of the Seyhan district, used coded language while selling drugs.

It was learned that in the network led by Nuri Can K., those wanting to buy cannabis would ask, "Is there Kübra?", while those wanting to buy methamphetamine would ask, "Is there Ice?"

THEY CALL THE POLICE 'UNCLE'

It was also learned that the network referred to the police as "uncle" among themselves when speaking on the phone to avoid being caught by technical surveillance.

Following the arrests of Pınar K., Murat O., Hüseyin D., Özgür S., Uğur Can S., Mehmet S., Kaan K., and Umut G. on charges of being gang members, Nuri Can K., who was referred to the courthouse, was also arrested by the duty magistrate.

With this operation, the number of detainees rose to 267.
