The hunt for quarter gold coins in New Year's cakes
A patisserie in Esenyurt attracted significant attention on social media by placing 40 quarter gold coins inside the cakes it prepared for the New Year. However, when social media influencer Mehmet Bayraktar, known as "Tokatçı Berber" (The Swindler Barber), entered the shop with a metal detector, employees escorted him out.
A patisserie located in the Fatih neighborhood of Esenyurt announced that it had placed 40 quarter gold coins inside the cakes it prepared for the New Year. The patisserie owner's social media post received great attention. However, upon learning about this interesting campaign, social media influencer Mehmet Bayraktar, known as "Tokatçı Berber", went to the patisserie with a metal detector in his hand. Bayraktar, who walked around the cakes with the detector, was noticed by the patisserie employees and escorted out. Those moments were captured on security cameras.
Patisserie owner Celal Koç stated that they wanted to make a gesture for the New Year to the customers they have served for years, adding that their campaign has received significant interest.
