US House's Evangelical Speaker: "I know that God will bless the nations that bless Israel"

Evangelical Mike Johnson announced that he has assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US Congress will continue to support Israel until the end.

US House Speaker Mike Johnson attended and spoke at the "Republican Jewish Coalition Annual Meeting" held in Las Vegas.

Recalling that his first act upon taking the Speaker's chair was to bring a resolution supporting Israel to a vote, Johnson said, "It was no accident that the first resolution was for Israel and my first trip was here to be with you. I want everyone to know where I stand."

Johnson also criticized anti-Israel protests on university campuses, claiming that Jewish students do not feel safe.

MESSAGE TO THE UN

Noting that they are working on a bill to provide Israel with the resources it needs, Johnson said, "I have a message from here to the United Nations (UN). There will be a ceasefire only when Hamas ceases to be a threat to Israel."

Stating that Israel is the US's greatest friend in the Middle East, Johnson recounted that he had previously traveled to Israel with his wife.

Stating that he had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Johnson continued his words as follows:

"(To Netanyahu) I told him that our support for Israel and the people of Israel is unwavering. I assured him that our Congress, under my leadership, will stand with Israel until the end. As a Christian, I know that the Bible is clear on where we should stand regarding Israel. I know that God will bless the nations that bless Israel."
