2nd suicide in 2 days at Marmaray!
An unidentified person has committed suicide at the Üsküdar station of the Marmaray. Yesterday, another individual had ended their life at the Suadiye station of the Marmaray. The suicide cases have caused concern among citizens.
An unidentified person has committed suicide at the Üsküdar station of the Marmaray, which is under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and affiliated with the Republic of Türkiye State Railways (TCDD).
In a statement made on the Marmaray's social media account, it was reported that due to the suicide case, which was announced with the phrase "a sad incident" that occurred at 10:03, services between Sirkeci and Üsküdar are being operated on a single line and are experiencing delays.
The statement said, "Due to a sad incident that occurred at the Marmaray Üsküdar station at 10:03, services between Sirkeci and Üsküdar are being operated on a single line, and Marmaray services are experiencing delays."

Yesterday (December 19), a person also committed suicide at the Suadiye station on the Marmaray.
The suicide case was again reported on social media with the phrase "a sad incident."

CALLS FOR PRECAUTIONS REMAIN UNANSWERED
In the Marmaray, where suicide cases occur frequently, a person who jumped onto the tracks as the train was approaching last August was saved at the last moment.
