Yeni Akit columnist reacts to Tayfun Kahraman's daughter Vera

Yeni Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu, in his article titled "There is no 'my dear daddy', Vera! There is no mother, there is no father!", targeted a letter sent by Vera, the daughter of Gezi Park trial defendant and urban planner Tayfun Kahraman, to her father on her birthday.

Karahasanoğlu accused Kahraman and his wife, stating, "They are creating a narrative through a tiny five-year-old girl."

Karahasanoğlu wrote, "If they are writing theatrical scripts to get the 'father' out of prison—who is one of the people responsible for the deaths of 14 people during the Gezi uprising—by publishing a letter starting with 'my dear daddy', then I am forced to remind them that there is no equivalent to 'my dear daddy'." He added, "I am pretending to remind little Vera. But let the mother and father, who are exploiting Vera's name and her person, receive my message."

In his article, where he shared anecdotes from the 38th Colloquium of World Town Planning Day held in Istanbul, which began on November 6 and ended on November 8, 2014, and which the TMMOB Chamber of City Planners also published as a book under the title 'The Future of Cities', Karahasanoğlu stated the following:

"Poison the youth, corrupt their minds to destroy the concept of family. Then, when you end up in prison, make five-year-old children write letters starting with 'my dear daddy' to get out. I thought there was no family! There was no concept of mother and father! Where did this 'my dear daddy' come from?"
