YSK decision for 6 provinces and 10 districts

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has reached a decision on applications filed by political parties regarding the provinces of Van, Şırnak, Amasya, Kırklareli, Bingöl, and Ardahan, as well as 10 districts.

YSK decision for 6 provinces and 10 districts

The YSK continues to review objections filed against the decisions of Provincial Election Boards regarding the results of the Local Administration General Elections held on March 31.

In this context, the Council evaluated the election results for mayoralties in 6 provinces and objections concerning several districts during its meeting today.

According to information received, the Vatan Party objected to the results of the mayoral election in Van, which was won by DEM Party candidate Abdullah Zeydan.

Reviewing the application, the YSK did not accept the Vatan Party's request for the cancellation of the elections in Van.

The YSK also rejected the DEM Party's request for the cancellation of elections in Şırnak, as well as requests for a recount of votes by the AK Party in Ardahan, the CHP in Kırklareli, the MHP in Amasya, and the DEM Party in Bingöl, along with the CHP's request for the cancellation of elections in Yozgat's Yerköy district and the Yeniden Refah Party's request for the cancellation of elections in Şanlıurfa's Siverek district.

Requests for a recount of votes for district mayoralties by the AK Party in Kütahya's Emet, the DEM Party in Bitlis's Güroymak, the CHP in Adana's Sarıçam and Ankara's Kızılcahamam, the Yeniden Refah Party in Gaziantep's Oğuzeli, and the Great Unity Party (BBP) in Bolu's Gerede and Erzurum's İspir were also rejected by the YSK.

The YSK also reviewed an objection by the Great Unity Party regarding the results of the mayoral election in Adana's Kozan district, won by MHP candidate Mustafa Atlı, in which the party requested the cancellation of the certificate of election.

Reviewing the application, the YSK did not accept the Great Unity Party's request.
