130 TL hike in kitchen gas cylinders in three days: 12-kilogram cylinder rises to 1,680 TL
Consecutive price hikes in LPG have been reflected in kitchen gas cylinders. The price of a 12-kilogram cylinder has risen from 1,550 TL to 1,680 TL since September 30.
The increase in LPG prices has directly affected the cost of gas cylinders used in households. The price of a 12-kilogram kitchen gas cylinder has increased by 130 TL in three days, reaching 1,680 TL.
The 12-kilogram kitchen gas cylinder, which was 1,550 TL on September 30, rose to 1,580 TL on October 1. As of today, the price of the same cylinder has been set at 1,680 TL. Thus, the three-day increase in kitchen gas cylinders has reached 130 TL.
A similar increase was seen in small camping gas cylinders. The price of a camping cylinder, which rose to 350 TL on October 1, became 375 TL as of October 2.
Behind the price increases are tax and product hikes on LPG. On October 1, an SCT (Special Consumption Tax) increase was applied to gasoline, diesel, and LPG. Following the SCT regulation, there was an increase of 4 TL 15 kuruş in gasoline, 3 TL 60 kuruş in diesel, and 1 TL 45 kuruş in LPG.
Following the SCT increase, a new hike was applied to LPG effective today. While a 4 TL 63 kuruş increase was made in autogas prices, a second hike was also reflected in kitchen gas cylinders.
Industry sources pointed out that the rise in cylinder prices is proceeding rapidly, stating, "The price of a 12-kilogram cylinder could see 2,000 TL in the first months of the new year."
