Allegations of 53 billion lira in fund investigation: Denial from IC Holding

Allegations have surfaced in the public domain regarding a connection between Tera Holding and IC Holding, claiming that 53 billion lira in fund assets were withdrawn overnight. In a post on his social media account, Barış Yarkadaş claimed that the amount in question corresponds to approximately 7 percent of the Tera Investment portfolio.

In his post, Yarkadaş alleged that the Çeçen family/IC Holding withdrew 53 billion lira in assets from Tera, that the relationship between Çeçen İnşaat—also known as IC Holding—and Tera was under scrutiny, and that an injunction had been placed on their assets. It was noted that the post was later modified.

Following the allegations, IC Holding issued a written statement. The statement asserted that IC İçtaş, its subsidiaries, and the Çeçen family have no direct or indirect commercial, financial, or legal relationship, past or present, with "speculative funds" or any individuals, companies, or structures associated with them.

The holding company stated that it "categorically" rejects being associated with allegations and speculations that it claims have no connection to its name. The statement declared that necessary legal and criminal actions, including requests for corrections and compensation, will be taken against individuals, institutions, and media outlets accused of producing or disseminating false information.

IC Holding's portfolio includes large-scale infrastructure and construction projects known to the public, such as the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, the New York Turkish House (Türkevi) project, and the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge.
