Aroma workers take action over collective bargaining dispute

250 workers at the Aroma factory have launched a protest, rejecting a proposal that offered a 30 percent raise and the removal of private health insurance during collective bargaining negotiations. The workers gathered in front of the factory, stating that this proposal did not reflect their demands. The Tekgıda-İş Union emphasized that they stand with the workers during this process and aim to protect employees despite economic difficulties.

Tekgıda-İş President Mustafa Türkel stated in a written announcement that the union is making efforts to defend the workers' rights. The workers expressed that the conditions offered are unacceptable and that they want their demands to be met. The union stated their intention to overcome the process together by taking the workers' demands into account.

While the negotiations are expected to be completed by June 20, the workers' protest and the union's statements have raised questions about how the process will conclude.
