Cigarette price hike in the first week of the new year
With the arrival of 2026, cigarette prices have increased by 5 TL; the new prices will be effective starting tomorrow.
Starting Monday, January 5, a 5 TL increase will be reflected in cigarette prices. Erol Dündar, President of the Monopoly Dealers Solidarity Association (TBYD), shared the exact date of the hike in a statement on social media, stating, “As we announced a few days ago, a 5 TL price increase has been applied to the first cigarette group.”

Before the hike, the cheapest cigarette was at the 90 TL level, while after this change, the lowest price rose to 95 TL. The most expensive cigarettes approached the 110 TL band following the increase.
