Claims regarding 11 investors in the Tera TLY fund: 99.38% of shares held by two Tera companies

As the fund investigation in Turkey remains on the agenda, new information has been shared regarding the investors of the Tera TLY fund before it was opened to the Turkish Electronic Fund Trading Platform (TEFAS).

Bloomberg reporter Fırat Kozok reported that a MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) report determined the fund had 11 investors as of December 31, 2024. The names of the "mysterious investors," which have been debated by the public for days, were brought to the agenda by a social media post from AKP member Şamil Tayyar.

NAMES AND SHARE DISTRIBUTION

According to Tayyar's post, the list includes Akif Dağdelen, Ali Yürüdü, Dilara Tezmen, Ethem Umut Beytorun, İhsan Çimen, Sinan Tezmen, Türker Vancı, Uğur Sungar, and Umut Aydın, as well as Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. and Tera Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.

Kozok reported that it was determined that 99.38% of the fund is held by the two Tera companies. In his post, Tayyar also stated, "99.38% of the shares belong to Tera Yatırım and TERA Portföy."

Tayyar noted that the remaining 0.62% share is distributed among the 9 individuals on the list. These statements have brought the discussions regarding the fund's ownership structure before it was opened to TEFAS back to the forefront.
