Competition Authority fines caravan company
The Competition Authority has imposed an administrative fine of 2.3 million Turkish Lira on Erba Karavan Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. for violating the Law on the Protection of Competition.
The Competition Authority has decided to impose an administrative fine of 2 million 269 thousand 283 Turkish Lira on Erba Karavan Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. According to the announcement published on the Authority's website, the investigation conducted into the company was initiated following allegations that it violated the Law on the Protection of Competition.
Within the scope of the investigation, allegations that Erba Karavan determined the resale prices of its dealers were resolved through a settlement, while allegations regarding regional and customer restrictions were resolved through commitments. As a result of the settlement process, it was decided that the company would be fined 2 million 269 thousand 283 Turkish Lira.
The commitment text submitted by the company was accepted, as it was determined to be sufficient to address the identified competition issues. This decision highlights the effectiveness and importance of the audits and regulations carried out by the Competition Authority.
