The Competition Board has fined Bağdat and Deva spice companies 2.8 million lira.

According to the announcement on the Competition Authority's website, the investigation conducted to determine whether Bağdat Pazarlama Ticaret Limited Şirketi and Deva Baharatları Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by determining the resale prices of their buyers has been concluded.

Since the Bağdat and Deva spice firms operate within the same economic entity, the two companies were evaluated as a single undertaking under the scope of the investigation as the "Bağdat and Deva Economic Entity."

It was decided to terminate the investigation after the Board accepted the settlement text submitted by the party during the investigation process. In this context, the Bağdat and Deva Economic Entity admitted that it determined the resale prices of its buyers and thereby violated the Law.

Due to the termination of the investigation through the settlement procedure, a 25 percent discount was applied to the fine, and an administrative fine of 2 million 788 thousand 758 lira was imposed on the Bağdat and Deva Economic Entity.
