DMM statement on electricity price hike claims
The Center for Combating Disinformation has stated that claims regarding an imminent high-rate hike in electricity prices do not reflect the truth.
The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has issued a statement regarding claims circulating in some media outlets and on social media platforms that "very high-rate hikes will soon be applied to electricity consumption fees."
In the statement made by the DMM, it was noted that the claims in question are "untrue." The statement expressed that there is no current price adjustment study planned by the authorized institutions.
The statement urged the public to be cautious against posts regarding energy prices that are not official announcements.
