Minimum wage statement from Minister Işıkhan
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated, "We will begin our commission meetings on December 11 to determine the minimum wage level for 2024. We will conduct the process with sensitivity, seeking consensus and agreement together with our worker and employer representatives."
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the Common Futures Award Ceremony organized by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) at a hotel. At the ceremony, held with the theme 'Working Life in the 100th Year of the Republic,' awards were presented to those who ranked among the projects evaluated in 8 categories.
Delivering an opening speech at the program, Minister Işıkhan described the project competition held by TİSK as an "award program with no losers."
Adding that they can only build common futures by strengthening social dialogue, Minister Işıkhan said, "As is known, we reconvened the Tripartite Advisory Board after a 5-year hiatus.
We evaluated the issues and solution proposals regarding the working life agenda in a positive atmosphere of consultation. In accordance with the requirements of our consultative approach, we intend to operate our social dialogue mechanisms regularly in the coming process as well," he said.

MADE A STATEMENT REGARDING MINIMUM WAGE NEGOTIATIONS
Speaking about the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, Işıkhan said, "Hopefully, we will begin our commission meetings on December 11 to determine the minimum wage level for 2024.
As always, we will conduct this process with sensitivity, seeking consensus and agreement together with our worker and employer representatives. Whatever the conditions, I sincerely believe that we will build the strong, prosperous Turkey of the future together."
Following the speech, TİSK Chairman of the Board Özgür Burak Akkol presented a gift to Minister Işıkhan.
