The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has announced a 38 percent increase in electricity prices. The hike will take effect starting July 1.
EPDK has announced that retail electricity prices for the residential subscriber group have been increased by 38 percent.
The statement from EPDK is as follows:
"Due to the increase in energy production costs, final retail electricity sales prices have been increased by 38% for the residential subscriber group, 30% for the agricultural activities subscriber group, and 38% for the low-tier and 20% for the high-tier of the public and private services sector subscriber group.
With this increase, the amount to be paid for a residential subscriber with 100 kWh of electricity consumption has become 207.23 TL.
The tariffs will be effective as of July 1, 2024."
