Turkey becomes Nordex's largest market in the third quarter: Orders exceed 900 MW

Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group announced that it increased its orders in the third quarter of 2026 by 29.5 percent compared to the same period last year. Turkey was the company's strongest market during the July-September period.

According to the third-quarter results released by Nordex, the company received a total of 2,810 megawatts of orders in the project segment, excluding service activities. In the same period last year, this figure was at the 2,170-megawatt level.

The company reported that it received orders for a total of 427 wind turbines for projects in 10 countries during the period in question. While Turkey became Nordex's largest market with an order volume exceeding 900 megawatts, Germany and the USA were also among the prominent markets.

Nordex CEO Jose Luis Blanco stated that the geographical distribution of orders is becoming increasingly diversified. Blanco noted that orders received in the USA since the beginning of the year have exceeded 1.3 gigawatts, and they expect the share of international orders to increase in the coming quarters.

In a separate statement on October 7, Nordex also announced that it had received multiple new orders from Turkey with a total capacity of 389 megawatts in the final weeks of September. The company defines Turkey as one of its core markets.

Under the contracts, the supply and installation of 56 Delta4000 series wind turbines are planned. The installation and commissioning work for the projects is expected to begin in 2027 and continue in phases until 2028.

Ender Özatay, Vice President of Nordex Group for Turkey and the Middle East, stated that the new orders strengthen the company's market position in Turkey. Özatay noted that they will contribute to Turkey's renewable energy goals with long-term service agreements and project-specific turbine configurations.
