Wave of cigarette price hikes begins
Cigarette prices in Turkey have increased significantly following a price hike by the Philip Morris group. While the prices of the most popular cigarettes have risen by approximately 5 TL, other companies are also expected to take similar steps.
Cigarette prices in Turkey are constantly increasing due to high SCT and VAT taxes. Most recently, Philip Morris, one of the largest players in the tobacco market, has increased its cigarette prices. While the company's cheapest cigarette has risen to 95 TL, its most preferred products will be offered for sale between 100 and 105 TL.

NEW PRICES EXPECTED
Özgür Aybaş, President of the Turkey Monopoly Dealers Platform, stated in a post on social media, "A price hike has been applied to cigarettes, best of luck to the country! Prices have risen to between 100 and 105 TL. The cheapest cigarette is now 95 TL."
Following Philip Morris, other tobacco manufacturers are also expected to announce their increased prices by the weekend.
