YKS placement results announced: When will university registration begin?

The 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) placement results have been announced. Candidates can access their results via ÖSYM’s “ykssonuc.osym.gov.tr” website.

ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy stated that the preference process has been completed and congratulated the candidates who were placed in higher education programs. Ersoy noted that the additional preference process will provide a new opportunity for candidates who were not placed in any program.

According to the main placement results, university registration for candidates who have earned the right to enroll in a program will take place between August 24 and August 28, 2026. Electronic registrations will be accepted between August 24 and August 26, 2026.

The 2026-YKS additional preference calendar has not yet been announced. After the registration process is completed, the remaining vacant quotas due to non-registration will be determined, and ÖSYM will publish the additional placement guide.

With the start of additional preferences, candidates are expected to complete their transactions via the ÖSYM Candidate Transactions System. Last year, additional placement preferences were accepted entirely in an electronic environment.
