Endangered 'spotted salamander' spotted in Adana
The 'spotted salamander,' also known as the 'Turkish salamander,' which is an endangered species, has been seen in the Pozantı district of Adana. The spotted salamander was also sighted in Adıyaman and Batman in recent weeks.
In Adana's Belemedik Nature Park, citizens encountered a spotted salamander, a species that is a priority for conservation and whose population is in decline, in an area near the train tracks.
The salamander was moved to an area away from the train tracks and photographed.
The spotted salamander disappeared from sight after a short while.
