First statement from Kerimcan Durmaz after his arrest! 'I am continuing...'

The first statement has come from social media phenomenon Kerimcan Durmaz, who was arrested and sent to prison as part of an 'illegal betting' investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Kerimcan Durmaz, who was arrested on January 7 on allegations of encouraging people to gamble by advertising illegal betting, sent a message from prison yesterday through his sister, Neşe Fişek, who visited him.

His sister, Neşe Fişek, shared the message her brother conveyed via her social media account.

In the message he conveyed through his sister, Kerimcan Durmaz said the following:

"To those who love me, I am grateful to all of you for your love and support during this difficult process. I am well and I continue to stay strong. I have full faith that justice will be served sooner or later. All of your prayers, kind wishes, and sincere messages give me strength. Thanks to this love and support, I am standing tall. Knowing that you are by my side makes it easier for me to get through this process. Please keep your spirits high. Your love and belief are my greatest motivation. We will get through this process together. I love you all very much and I believe that we will meet again as soon as possible. With love, Kerimcan Durmaz"
