Shocking statement live from the Gökdeniz family, victims of the 'Newborn Gang': 'Even the child in the grave might not be mine'

Striking details continue to emerge in the case known as the 'Newborn Gang,' which has caused public outrage.

The Gökdeniz family announced that they had applied to the private Reyap Hospital in 2020 and that their baby, Umut Ali, passed away after staying in intensive care for 10 days due to respiratory problems.

PREMATURE BIRTH

Mother Burcu Gökdeniz explained what they went through in a live broadcast to Meral Danyıldız from Sözcü TV as follows:

I got pregnant in 2020 during the Coronavirus period. We learned that Reyap Hospital was good. We learned there was growth retardation related to the placenta. We learned he would be put in an incubator. He was born at 34 weeks.

FIRAT SARI WAS PROVIDING DAILY REPORTS

He was taken to the neonatal intensive care unit and lived for 10 days. He was under the control of Fırat Sarı. Fırat Sarı was the doctor in charge. He was providing us with daily reports.

'THEY WERE TAKING PHOTOS AND BRINGING THEM TO US'

My child was intubated, they said there was a problem with his stomach, and they said he did not accept breast milk. Later, they said he returned to normal and his condition was good. Then they said there was an infection in his lungs. We could never see him; they were taking photos and bringing them to us. Later, they said there is a baby inside, there is a baby inside, everyone is taking care of him.

'HIS VOICE WAS TREMBLING WHILE DELIVERING THE NEWS OF DEATH'

The phone rang at 5 in the morning; they said the child's condition was critical and that Fırat Sarı wanted to see us. Sarı said that when they took him off the intubation, bleeding started, they began blood transfusions, and they could not stop the bleeding. Later, they said his heart got tired and stopped, they brought him back, and at 10 o'clock, they said his heart stopped. Fırat Sarı said this as well. His voice was trembling while saying this; I felt his eyes welling up while we were crying.

'THE CHILD IN THE GRAVE MIGHT NOT BE MINE, IS IT NOT POSSIBLE?'

Father Gökdeniz, stating, "He looked embarrassed. We don't know if he did this on purpose," noted the following:

"He was our first child, we never saw our child. I was telling my wife, this child doesn't look like ours at all. If things have reached this point, the child in the grave might not even be mine, is it not possible? If a gang that says 'kill the child' has gone this far, why shouldn't it be that my child is somewhere else and I received the funeral of another child? Anything is possible. This is also a detail."

THEIR SECOND BABY ALSO WENT TO A HOSPITAL ON THE LIST

The family also showed that they have a death certificate and Fırat Sarı's signature. The family stated that they also took their second baby to Birinci Hospital and that hospital is also on the list.

As the Gökdeniz family continues their struggle, they said they want to be a hope for other families, just like their son's name (Umut means hope).
