This is truly unbelievable... 'Drug' detail in the newborn gang scandal

The criminal organization known as the baby-killing 'Newborn Gang,' which turned neonatal intensive care units in Istanbul into commercial enterprises, continues to make headlines with new information.

New correspondence has been shared regarding the actions of the gang, which received government support payments by keeping babies in the intensive care units of the hospitals they controlled for long periods while misrepresenting their health conditions.

IYI Party MP Turhan Çömez shared the correspondence of the Newborn Gang's members at Beylikdüzü Medilife on his social media account. The WhatsApp messages between the gang-member doctors and nurses are chilling.

In the correspondence, the gang members, who mocked the condition of the babies, can be seen cold-bloodedly leading them to death, saying, "Doctor, I gave the special baby a whiff of Dormicum (a drug); it was crying like crazy, I cut off its breath, just so you know."

HOW THEY SENT THE BABY TO DEATH

Turhan Çömez explained with an example how the gang sent the babies they trapped to their deaths.

The gang, known for also targeting foreign-national babies, first admitted a baby named Michelle to the neonatal unit when there was no space in the pediatric intensive care unit, and then sent her to another branch that had no doctors after receiving information that the hospital would be inspected. The gang members, who abandoned the baby there, found that the baby had lost her life when they returned.

Çömez recounted that incident as follows:

Michelle Nwando Opara. She is referred to Medilife Hospital. Because she is older, she needs to be admitted to pediatric intensive care. But the hospital does not have this unit. She is admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.

Because the incubator was too small, they put the child in a crib. There is no doctor. While a nurse is trying to intubate her, the child's heart stops. Incorrect medication is also used while trying to resuscitate her. On the same day, information arrives that the hospital will be inspected by the Health Directorate for another reason.

They rush the child to the other branch. There, she is admitted to the baby intensive care unit. Again, in a crib. Because there is no pediatric intensive care unit there either. In fact, there is no doctor or nurse. There is only a nurse's aide. And that person walks out of the intensive care unit.

When they return, they see that the child has already lost her life. Because the poor child had disconnected from the machine while struggling and was left without oxygen. Since the machine was also very old, it did not even sound an alarm. This is just one very small example."
