Statement released regarding Deniz Seki's health status

A statement has been released by the hospital regarding the health status of singer Deniz Seki, who reportedly fell on the balcony of her home in Istanbul. The statement indicated that Seki was taken into surgery after a fracture was detected in her left hip.

According to information provided by the hospital's Chief Physician, Prof. Dr. Metin Uzun, Deniz Seki presented to the hospital on Monday, August 10, 2026, due to left hip pain resulting from a fall. Following examinations and imaging tests, a fracture was identified in the left hip, and Seki was taken into surgery at 17:00.

It was stated that the fractured area was stabilized during the operation and a tear in one of the muscles that allows the hip to move was also repaired. It was announced that the surgery was performed by Prof. Dr. Vahit Emre Özden, Prof. Dr. Göksel Dikmen, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Tunalı.

Prof. Dr. Uzun reported that Deniz Seki's general health condition is good. It was noted that Seki was helped to stand today and was able to walk with support, and that she is planned to be discharged within 5-6 days.
