43 people detained as part of an investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Bayraklı Municipality and the municipal subsidiary BAYBEL AŞ have been referred to the courthouse.

It was stated that the investigation is being conducted on allegations of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "bribery," and "rigging tenders." The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had issued detention warrants for 48 people.
