The 56 suspects detained in an operation conducted across 6 provinces as part of an Adana-based investigation have been sent to the courthouse following police processing.
56 suspects, including Alparslan Kuytul and his wife Semra Kuytul, who were detained as part of an investigation coordinated by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been referred to the courthouse.
Teams from the Adana Provincial Police Department had conducted simultaneous operations at 49 addresses across 6 provinces on August 19. During the operation, 56 people were detained as part of an investigation into an organization allegedly led by Alparslan Kuytul.
It was reported that the suspects face various charges, including "establishing, managing, and being a member of a criminal organization" and "violating the Tax Procedure Law." The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were taken to the courthouse.
Within the scope of the investigation, it was alleged that some individuals stated to be in the upper echelons of the organization had contact with names who had previously faced legal proceedings within the scope of FETÖ/PDY.
It was claimed that a total of 24 different names linked to FETÖ/PDY were found in the contact records, and that all 5 organization leaders, who are currently reported to be fugitives, had contact with one or more of these individuals.
