According to the statement by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, individuals who exited the funds by selling their holdings, particularly on September 13, 14, 15, and 16, have been placed under investigation. In line with the findings in the investigation file, it is assessed that some individuals exited the funds having had prior information.

It was reported that the identified names have been notified to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), and the official notification process regarding the refund of the money has been initiated for the individuals on the list. It was stated that the funds to be collected will be pooled in accounts created for the victims.

Although some names have been reflected in the public domain within the scope of the investigation, the entire list of individuals under examination has not been officially disclosed. It was reported that the judicial process is ongoing.

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that 17 funds open to TEFAS have been liquidated and that the money of 43 thousand fund investors has been deposited into the relevant banks. Stating that problems were experienced in 131 funds, Şimşek said that additional regulations will be made to prevent similar situations from happening again.
