Voting has begun in the elections to determine the bodies of the Ankara Bar Association as part of its 69th Ordinary General Assembly. Lawyers began casting their votes at 09:00 at the ballot boxes set up at the Nazım Hikmet Congress and Art Center.

Voting will continue until 17:00 today at the center where the general assembly discussions were held yesterday. Bar presidential candidates greeted the lawyers arriving at the congress center.
Four candidates are competing for the presidency of the Ankara Bar Association. The candidates participating in the election are Funda Şahin for the Ankara Lawyers' Rights Group, Mehmet Zeki Kaplan for the Democratic Lawyers Change Group, Elçin Özge Şimşek Çağlayan for the Democratic Left Lawyers Group, and Doğukan Kozan for the Turkish Nationalist Lawyers Group (TÜMAG).
In addition to the bar president, the elections will determine a 10-member board of directors, a 5-member disciplinary board, a 3-member supervisory board, and 7 delegates for the Union of Turkish Bar Associations.
