Lawyer couple's Katılımevim transactions under scrutiny in fund investigation: 2.5 billion TL profit from a single stock
In the fund investigation in Istanbul, the multi-billion profit of the lawyer couple who sold their Katılımevim shares before the operation has been entered into the file.
In the fund investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the high-volume stock market transactions of two lawyers have been taken under review. According to information reflected in the file, the buying and selling of Katılımevim (KATLEV) shares by Yasemin Yavuz Koçyiğit, who is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, and her husband Gökhan Koçyiğit has become one of the notable topics of the investigation.
Examinations determined that the couple had only traded in KATLEV shares over the last year and had not bought or sold any other stocks. It was noted that the couple, who are reported to work at a law firm based in Beyoğlu, sold all their shares shortly before the judicial process and the fund operation began.
BILLION-LIRA MOVEMENT IN A SINGLE STOCK
According to the calculations in the file, the total principal invested by Yasemin Yavuz Koçyiğit and Gökhan Koçyiğit in KATLEV shares was 2 billion 320 million liras. The total sales amount realized upon the couple's liquidation of their shares reached 4 billion 854 million liras.
As a result of these transactions, it was stated that the couple's net cash profit from a single stock was 2 billion 534 million TL. The fact that the sales coincided with the period before the operation stood out among the financial movements evaluated within the scope of the investigation.

According to personal account statements, Gökhan Koçyiğit invested 1 billion 864 million TL in KATLEV shares. It was recorded that Koçyiğit, who collected 3 billion 924 million TL after the sale, made a net profit of 2 billion 60 million TL from this transaction.
It was stated that Yasemin Yavuz Koçyiğit closed her 456 million lira investment in the same stock and collected 930 million TL, earning a net profit of 474 million liras as a result of this buying and selling.
While the timing and scale of the money traffic in question are being focused on within the scope of the investigation, how the transactions will be evaluated in the judicial process will become clear in the later stages of the file.
