The series 'İnci Taneleri', written by and starring Yılmaz Erdoğan, has been at the center of Turkey's agenda in recent days.
Following the start of the series, it was learned that pavyon prices in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir have doubled.
After the pavyon culture was revived by the influence of the Dilber character, Attorney Şefika Aygüneş stated, "Going to a pavyon is conduct that undermines trust and is one of the valid grounds for divorce."
Here is the full statement from Aygüneş on the matter:
"When filing for divorce based on general grounds, multiple actions can be included in the petition. Going to a pavyon is conduct that undermines trust and is one of the valid grounds for divorce. There is also a precedent set by the 2nd Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation years ago regarding this situation. When evaluating claims in contested divorce cases, it is necessary to make an assessment based on the specific circumstances of the case.
When we examine the socio-cultural situation in Turkey, it is generally men who go to pavyons. If a husband goes to a pavyon without his spouse's knowledge and engages in behaviors there with other women that cause the marriage to be fundamentally shaken, the duty of fidelity is violated. There is no gender to this, I would like to point that out as well..."
