New allegations in Forex investigation added to the file
In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, allegations regarding the de facto management of companies, international calls, cash salaries, and crypto accounts are being examined.
In the Forex investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, suspect statements and forensic informatics examinations have been added to the file. Within the scope of the investigation, allegations are being researched that the official owners and de facto managers of the companies are different, that individuals abroad were called with the promise of Forex investments, and that customer information was obtained in exchange for money.
The investigation covers charges of aggravated fraud, unauthorized activities from the Capital Markets Board, establishing or being a member of an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, and laundering assets derived from crime.
Murat Demirbaş, who gave a statement within the scope of the investigation, said regarding the company named FACTO, "The person named Amıt Ygal is the de facto owner of the company I worked for, which I know as FACTO, for about 4 months. He is Israeli. On paper, the company boss is a person named İlhami İçingir."
Demirbaş stated that Maksym Verzılov also held an important position in the company, adding, "He is the second biggest boss after Amıt Ygal. I know he is Russian." It was noted that the names Robert İlker Hason and Karolin Hason are also being examined within the scope of the management and personnel structure of companies operating in different periods.
ALLEGATIONS OF PANIC AFTER THE OPERATION
According to Demirbaş's statement, operations at FACTO temporarily ceased following a police operation conducted at a similar workplace on March 10, 2026. Demirbaş explained that the management team panicked, employees were not called to work for 3-4 days, the number of employees later dropped from 650 to 400, and about a month later, the number rose to around 600 again with new recruitment.
It was noted that WhatsApp correspondence reflected in the forensic informatics examination also discussed topics such as the operation, the possibility of detention, and employees not coming to work during the same period. The file includes information that an employee sent a message to a lawyer saying, "What should we say if the police come, let's all have the same story, how can we get through this situation in the safest way?"
Regarding the flow of money, the allegation that salaries were paid in cash came to the fore. Demirbaş said his own salary was not deposited into a bank account and that he received it in cash. Furthermore, regarding the use of Turkish within the company, he said, "The representatives working inside definitely did not want Turkish to be spoken. Speaking Turkish outside of the kitchen was forbidden within the institution."
In another statement in the file, Mehmet Cemre Ketencigil alleged that individuals in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore were called under the guise of Forex investment at a call center named Sky Marketing, and individuals in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Dubai were called at a call center named Movimiento.
Ketencigil said that information belonging to the people called was obtained in exchange for money from companies not located in Turkey, the names of which he did not know. Hümeyra Doğaner explained that customer information was distributed to employees via a CRM system and that data and account systems connected to different countries were used in the companies.
Doğaner's statement also included allegations regarding cryptocurrency accounts and the use of cold wallets. Doğaner stated that the crypto account information belonging to the companies was in the finance units and CRM systems, and that it was said the accounts were connected to Dubai, Cyprus, and Ukraine. It was learned that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues its examination of digital materials and money movements.
