New development in 'illegal betting advertisement' case
The illegal betting advertisement case involving Acun Ilıcalı and his executives has been adjourned until April for the prosecution to prepare its final opinion.
The name of television producer and media mogul Acun Ilıcalı had come to the fore with allegations that illegal betting advertisements were featured during certain football matches broadcast on the TV8 and Exxen platforms. In this context, a judicial process was initiated against a total of 7 people, including Ilıcalı as well as senior executives of the channel and the platform.
During the latest hearing of the case, the court panel adjourned the trial until April 16 to allow the prosecution to prepare its final opinion on the merits. Thus, it was decided to await the prosecution's detailed assessment before moving to the decision phase of the case.
At the next hearing, the course of the case is expected to become clear in line with the opinion to be provided by the prosecution. The public is following the fate of both Ilıcalı and the relevant executives with curiosity.
