Remarkable money traffic in MASAK report regarding Sebahattin Şirin and his son

The money traffic detailed in a MASAK report has come to the fore during the investigation into Muzaffer Şirin, known as the leader of the Galatasaray fan group UltraAslan and who uses the name "Sebahattin Şirin." It was reported that Şirin, who was detained as part of an investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation into Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes, was referred to the courthouse following police procedures.

Charges against Şirin include opposition to articles 14 and 15 of the "Law on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports," possession and use of narcotics, organized black-market ticket fraud, and publicly spreading misleading information.

The report prepared by MASAK included the movements in the bank accounts of Şirin, who is noted to have changed his name from Muzaffer to Sebahattin, and his son İbrahim Şamil Şirin. According to the report, a transaction volume of 38 million 440 thousand TL was identified in İbrahim Şamil Şirin's accounts, while 12 million 558 thousand TL was identified in Sebahattin Şirin's accounts. Thus, the total transaction volume linked to the two individuals was recorded as approximately 51 million TL.

The report stated that there was a total of 1 million 521 thousand 961 TL in mutual money transfers between the father and son between 2021 and 2026. It was noted that the transaction volume in İbrahim Şamil Şirin's accounts rose from the 2 million TL level in 2022 to 9 million 325 thousand TL in 2023, and to 11 million 331 thousand TL in 2024. It was reported that the transaction volume was 7 million 951 thousand TL in 2025 and 7 million 487 thousand TL in the period of 2026 up to August 7.

PAYMENT INSTITUTIONS AND CASH WITHDRAWALS

The MASAK report also included transactions made by İbrahim Şamil Şirin through Papara, Pay Fix, IQ Money, and various other payment institutions. It was stated that a total of 2 million 553 thousand TL came to Şirin through these institutions, while Şirin sent 784 thousand TL through the same channels. Through Papara, 1 million 548 thousand TL in inflows were detected across 142 transactions, and 406 thousand TL in outflows across 246 transactions; through Pay Fix, 931 thousand TL in inflows and 131 thousand TL in outflows were identified.

The report stated that İbrahim Şamil Şirin's average monthly income at a media organization where he most recently worked as a driver was 39 thousand 358 TL, and his total income from this workplace was recorded as 275 thousand 509 TL. The report also reflected that there is a 5 thousand 2 square meter field in Istanbul's Çatalca and a residence with an attic room in Güngören registered in Şirin's name.

A transaction volume of 12 million 558 thousand TL was identified in Sebahattin Şirin's bank accounts for the 2011-2026 period. It was noted that 6 million 36 thousand TL of this amount was money coming into the account, 3 million 642 thousand TL was money leaving the account; furthermore, there were cash withdrawals exceeding 2 million 580 thousand TL.

The report stated that Şirin's highest-value financial relationship was with Diamond Gayrimenkul İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, where he has worked since 2017. It was stated that a total of 4 million 350 thousand TL was transferred to Şirin's account from the company in 6 separate transactions, and that he has a 2023 model Peugeot vehicle and real estate records in Istanbul's Güngören and Balıkesir's Ayvalık in his name.
