Theater actor, author, and presenter Metin Uca had an accident after falling ill while driving in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli recently, and after being taken to the hospital, it was discovered that his carotid artery was blocked, leading to an emergency surgery.
Uca, whose health was improving and who was planned to be discharged yesterday, fell ill again. The famous figure was taken into surgery, intubated, and it was announced that a critical 72-hour period has begun.
'INTUBATED AS A PRECAUTION'
Uca's manager, Kübra Kalem Baykara, announced that the artist had been intubated in a statement on social media with the following words:
"I had previously given good news, saying that dear Metin Uca's condition was improving, that he would be discharged as soon as possible, and that he would regain his former health with additional treatments at home. While he was expected to be discharged on the morning of November 15, he had to undergo an emergency operation. Due to complications that arose after the operation, he was intubated as a precaution.
We hope to get through the 72 hours and then continue his treatment from where we left off. With the intense and devoted efforts of his valuable doctors and the hospital administration, and with your kind wishes, we will overcome this difficult process together. Our hearts are with him.
