Efe Önbilgin obtains a gag order against Deniz Akkaya
Efe Önbilgin, the father of her child, has applied to the Family Court for a protection order against Deniz Akkaya, who recently made headlines over allegations that her 15-year-old daughter, Ayşe, attacked her and locked her on the balcony when she tried to take her mobile phone.
Evaluating the request, the court decided that Deniz Akkaya must not engage in any words or actions directed at the victim Efe Önbilgin and their daughter Ayşe Önbilgin, nor disturb them via communication devices, for a period of 1 month.
If Akkaya fails to comply with the decision, she will face 'coercive imprisonment' ranging from 3 to 10 days.
Ayşe Önbilgin arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse the other day to provide a statement as part of the investigation launched into the incident.
According to the report in Hürriyet, Önbilgin gave a statement to the Juvenile Crimes Investigation Bureau in the capacity of a 'child driven to crime' regarding the charge of 'deprivation of liberty'.
Following her statement, Önbilgin was referred to the Forensic Medicine Department. A report was prepared regarding whether she possesses the mental health required to comprehend the penalty for the crime.
