Deniz Akkaya announced yesterday that after sharing the issues she was experiencing with her daughter on her social media account, she had voluntarily placed her daughter, A.Ö., under the protection of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

Speaking to Demet Demirkır from Habertürk, Ministry officials stated that this was not voluntary and explained the procedure followed.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysi Çeri stated that the issue between the mother and daughter has now become public knowledge, saying, "These posts will also be a very serious trauma for the child. It has opened a wound in the communication between the child and the mother that is very difficult to repair."

'I CALLED 112 THREE TIMES'

In a video she posted on her social media account yesterday, model Deniz Akkaya had used the following expressions: "I just seized the phone that my daughter, whom I have officially raised alone for 16 years, was persistently hiding from me. As a result of finding her secret plans to go abroad and more, I confiscated the phone. Not only did she physically attack me, but she also locked me on the balcony for 1.5 hours. After the pleas of the neighbors and security went unanswered, I was rescued as a result of calling 112 three times.

I will not allow this state of mind, which also resisted the police and then, not content with that, assassinated my character, to hide behind adolescence. Do you know where we went wrong? By loving uncontrollably. Being a mother is not this, and it should not be. May God give patience to all mothers."
