Ender Saraç issues statement through his lawyers: 'It has been proven to be slander'

Dr. Ender Saraç, who recently came to the fore with abuse allegations, had previously gone to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with his lawyers to provide a statement.

Saraç, who presented evidence that he was subjected to slander, has released a new written statement through his lawyers.

Written statement issued by Ender Saraç's lawyers, Altın Mimir and Emek Emre:

"For days, following my client Ender SARAÇ's expression of his official intent to divorce his wife, from whom he has been living separately for 3 years; after the contested divorce process that I was conducting with his wife and her previous lawyer reached a stalemate, and following the filing of the divorce case by me on November 27, 2023; in order to bypass the relevant court's decision for a closed hearing and publication ban, my client's child was involved in the divorce process with completely false statements and allegations. Subsequently, a smear campaign was launched against my client in social, print, and visual media by the child's mother, who took photographs of documents that should have been kept strictly confidential.

Although we have explained that the sole reason for this smear campaign was to discredit my client in the public eye in order to gain an unfair advantage in the divorce case, and that this was done in a very ruthless and below-the-belt manner; unfortunately, the posts and publications regarding my client's child, who is just entering adolescence, have continued. Immediately following the lynching campaign launched through the media, I went to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with my client Ender SARAÇ on 08.12.2023 to provide a statement, and it was demonstrated with evidence that my client was subjected to a major slander. Subsequently, my client's child, whom he protects like the apple of his eye, applied to the Prosecutor's Office as of the day before yesterday (13.12.2023) and stated, in the presence of his mother, that all the matters he had voiced against my client were untrue, and that he had essentially voiced them to attract my client's attention and perhaps to dissuade him from the divorce decision.

At this point, the most important issue we would like to draw your attention to is that the mother stated, while giving this statement, that she did not want her lawyer Yücel Önder to participate in the statement and that she would dismiss the lawyer who caused the matter to be carried to the press in this way.

This situation means that the conspiracy theory we have put forward from the beginning has been proven: although the lynching campaign and the attempt to discredit my client, which were launched against him, did not achieve the desired goal thanks to the common sense of our people, we have felt compelled to make this statement so that certain malicious individuals do not offend my client's child any further over this issue.

As of the current stage, the events that have taken place have shown that: in the face of the reality that the speed of technological development and the will of the legislator to protect legal values that need to be protected alongside technological development cannot be at the same pace, in order not to allow the resulting legal deficiency to turn into attempts that constitute malice, we respectfully request that from now on, no credence be given to unreal allegations and accusations that may be put forward against the client through various methods, including artificial intelligence, unless the burden of proof regulated under Article 190 of the Code of Civil Procedure No. 6100 is met, and we state with respect that this is legally necessary."
