Master artist Erol Evgin was in Nişantaşı the other day. Speaking to reporters after a business meeting, Evgin complained about Istanbul's complexity, its increasing population, and the refugees, stating, "Is it possible not to miss the old Istanbul?"

Responding with thanks to the press members' comment, "You are defying the years," Evgin mentioned that he performed in Antalya on New Year's Eve and wished everyone health and peace for the new year.
According to the report in Milliyet, when reminded of the refugees flocking to Istanbul recently, Evgin replied, "Is it possible not to miss the old Istanbul?"
