Famous Yeşilçam star Sevda Ferdağ has passed away

Sevda Ferdağ, who appeared in over 150 motion pictures during her acting career spanning more than 50 years, has passed away at the age of 81.

The veteran actress last appeared in the television series 'Ömre Bedel' in 2009.

Details regarding Ferdağ's funeral ceremony have not yet been announced.

WHO IS SEVDA FERDAĞ?

After the failure of her first film in 1958, Ferdağ moved to Germany, but returned to Turkey at her sister's insistence to pursue a career in cinema once again.

Receiving unexpected attention with the film "Azrailin Habercisi" (The Messenger of the Angel of Death), the artist appeared in many consecutive films playing "vamp" roles. Playing lead roles in salon comedies and so-called "soap bubble" films, and supporting roles in more permanent productions,

Sevda Ferdağ began singing on stage in 1968 to make a living during a period when interest in Turkish films was declining. Ferdağ was a cinema laborer who appeared in over 150 motion pictures.

Sevda Ferdağ passed away on February 17, 2024.
